PAT Testing UK - A Division of Hampshire PAT testing is a family run business established in 2006.

All our staff, have over 10 years experience from working for other companies in this field, or for Electrical Contracting companies in the past. In our first few years our main aim has been to provide an excellent customer service, offering friendly, tidy, punctual and helpful professional engineers, on every occasion. Our engineers always try to keep disruption and inconvenience to a minimum.

Our aim is to build a relationship with our clients, as we are looking at their business long term not short. We will keep you updated with any changes and a scheduled contact to make sure that you never miss an inspection re-test and we ensure a professional and competent service at affordable prices. Normally we contact you the client 2 to 4 weeks before your re-test is due.

ALL of our test engineers are HIGHLY experienced, professionals.

Our qualified engineers test all equipment with minimum inconvenience to you and your staff. This includes working out of normal office hours at no extra cost.

PAT Test Certificates and full databases are supplied on completion of work. Our engineers will travel to locations nationally as well as the local Hampshire area.

Our current client base consists of companies like Specsavers, Coopervision, Pfizer and government agencies such as MAIB, NATS CTC Whiteley along with schools, colleges, factories, councils, workshops, restaurants, landlords, hotels, hair salons, Shoosmiths Solicitors, Taylor Wimpey homes and large office blocks.

When dealing with care homes we take go that extra mile to ensure we don't disrupt the normal day to day routine of the elderly residents and staff. Our engineers will liase with the staff to ensure our work is carried out as smoothly as possible with minimal disruption. Our engineers are fully aware and experienced in dealing with this environment, in a friendly, understanding and polite way.

All our engineers are paid an hourly rate and not percentage of items they test, like most other companies. (This avoids ghost readings i.e fictitous items)

All testing carried out by qualified engineers with City & Guilds Qualified to standard 2377 and with at least 10 years experience.

We can also work out of office hours at no extra charge to ensure minimal disruption to your business.

Our prices are competitive and for the example should your project have more than 1000 items to PAT test, we would be able to offer a price from £0.75 to £1.00 depending on the environment and location.

PAT TESTING IS ESSENTIAL

The govermnet stress the need for Portable Appliance Testing! Any electrical appliance that is fitted with a 3 pin domestic plug is required to be tested on a regular basis to ensure that it is in a safe working condition.

The best way to ensure the equipments' safety is to carry out Portable Appliance Tests.

It is vital to provide a safe electrical environment for your staff and visitors by including PAT-testing. Failure to comply can result in prosecution and carries a maximum penalty of £5000 and/or up to 6 months imprisonment.

Committing offences defined by the Health Safety at Works Act 1974 can also result in penalties of up to £20,000. The Crown Court, however, can impose unlimited fines and imprisonment of up to 2 years.

PAT testing is essential!

The Government stresses the need for PAT testing in the new 'Fire Safety Risk Assessment -Offices and shops' which states among other references to electrics.
